Obama and the Travel Industry
Written by Jay Karen on November 13, 2008 – 4:32 pmMarti Mayne of Maynely Marketing today sent me a link to a CNN interview with Pauline Frommer that covers what changes might be in store for the travel industry under an Obama administration. Click on the link below to be directed to the video.
Our industry could use all the travel-friendly people in Washington we can get. There is certainly a need to balance our national security interests with our economic interests, and I hope President Obama will continue to remember the economic impact of travel. He was a strong supporter in the Senate. The Travel Industry Association (of which PAII is a dues-paying member) has been doing a great deal of work to ensure the travel industry and tourism promotion are front-burner items.
Thanks for the email, Marti!
