Paris, Arkansas
Written by Jay Karen on February 18, 2009 – 5:54 amJust finished a long, but great day with the good folks of the Bed and Breakfast Association of Arkansas at their annual conference at Mount Magazine State Park in Paris, Arkansas. Half of the total membership is here! What a great turnout, and what a great time. Fifteen innkeepers joined PAII tonight. We’re on the move, folks!
Thanks for having me, BBAA!

Giving the keynote address tonight.

With new PAII member Skip Houston of the Five Points Lake Hamilton, who is donning his silent auction prize (a robe donated by The Turkish Towel Company).

A great conference it was, Jay’s keynote speech a real highlight. As one participant said, I will listen to Jay anywhere, anytime, for as long as he wants to speak! Informative, thoughtful, fun, relaxed, and some cutting edge thoughts for our industry. I’m rethinking our pricing structure in these tough times, thanks to Jay’s presentation. Way to go Jay and PAII for the new members.
One new member approached me and asked if the PAII conference is REALLY worth the money. The answer is a hearty YES!–if you apply the learning to your own business, and actually implement even 3-5 of the great ideas presented at the conference.
